52 in 52 week 25, 2020: The Baker’s Daughter

by Sarah McCoy, fiction

McCoy’s prose is beautiful, full of poetry, and the story cuts deep. A bit graphic at times, it is filled with the realities of war-torn lives and learning to live. So much of this book takes place in bakeries, my mouth watered and I felt like I gained ten pounds just reading.
